LITERARY
Words: Khryzztine Joy S. Baylon
Time tick in the flash when you came
Standing in front to tell your name
Cross-finger for your nerve to tame
Trying your best not to look lame
The loneliness pushed you forward
Bringing you some people toward
You chat if it’s even awkward
Hoping to be a friend afterward
Your little sprout of hope grew big
The roots of friendship deeply dig
You share stories and laugh like a pig
And you all sing like a small gig
The joy lets you smile ear to ear
Their jokes are all you want to here
They’re like magnets that pull you near
And their absence is what you fear
But life is not all about joy
There’s also sorrow that annoy
Life isn’t always saying hello
Biding farewell is just below
